
Chicken Parmesan Recipe
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to an even thickness)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
For Assembly:
- 1 jar (24 oz) of Mama's Classic Marinara
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)
For Serving:
- 1 lb spaghetti or your preferred pasta (cooked al dente)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes:

- Flour.
- Beaten eggs.
- A mixture of breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in eggs, and coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
2. Fry the Chicken
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
3. Assemble the Chicken Parmesan
- Spread a thin layer of Mama's Classic Marinara in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the fried chicken breasts in the dish. Spoon additional marinara over each piece to cover the top.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan over the chicken.
4. Bake
- Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
5. Cook the Pasta
- While the chicken is baking, prepare your pasta according to package instructions. Drain and toss with the remaining Mama's Classic Marinara.
6. Serve
- Plate the chicken over a bed of sauced pasta. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
